Introduction 

We expect children to be smart, presentable and to wear school uniform at all times. Please check the information below for full details of acceptable clothing depending on the weather and season.  We request that all uniform is labelled with your child’s name.

School uniform*:

• Cardigan/Sweatshirt – Red 
• Polo Shirt/Blouse - White 
• Skirt/Trousers - Black or Grey 
• Pinafore Dress - Black or Grey Shorts tailored - Black or Grey 
• Dress - Red Gingham 
• Shoes – Plain black (any logos must be black also) 
• Plain White, black, grey socks or tights 
• Tie (Year 6 only)

PE Kit*: 

• Plain white T-shirt with no branding or logos from professional sports teams
• Plain black shorts or tracksuit bottoms with no branding or logos from professional sports teams
• Suitable trainers or pumps

Parents are responsible for ensuring their children wear their PE kit to school when needed. 

*Please note that uniform does not have to be branded with the St Michael's logo and can be purchased from a wide-range of retailers, such as supermarkets. 

Jewellery  

Permitted jewellery that may be worn is:

One pair of stud earrings – no other piercings are permitted.

A smart and sensible wrist watch.

Jewellery is the responsibility of the pupil and not the school. Lost or damaged items will not be refunded. All jewellery must be removed during practical lessons, including PE lessons and science experiments. 

Book Bags and PE Kit Bags can be purchased from the school office.

Should you wish to purchase logo-branded items, our uniform supplier Sumo Sams is a local family run business based at 20 Hildens Drive, Tilehurst, RG31 5HU. Delivery and Charges

During term time, orders are delivered to school free of charge, orders will be sent through to your child's class to bring home.  (Please remember to specify your child's class and year group when ordering)
