Land Ahoy!
Welcome back! This term, our topic is all about materials, mixtures and concoctions. As part of this we will be learning about Marie Curie, Alice Ball, Helen Frankenthaler, cookery and a variety of materials.
As part of Black History Month, we will also be learning about the voyage of the Windrush. It's sure to be fascinating.
Please find our knowledge organiser below for further information about what we will be covering should you wish to support your child doing some extra research outside of school time.
Street Detectives
Welcome back! For our second Autumn term, we will be learning all about our own community. We will be looking at the history and geography of Reading and Tilehurst.
In addition to this we will also be looking at some traditional tales and working hard towards an exciting Christmas performance.
Below is a document that has links to lots of different websites about minibeasts, child friendly websites with minibeast information, how to make bug habitats, life cycles and links to footage of bees in their hives.
We thought this might be interesting for you to have a look at or if you wanted to do some extra research as part of our Wriggle and Crawl topic.
Have fun!
